In tonight’s program of Behind the Headlines:

The Iranian regime has attacked the Iranian Kurdish positions in Iraqi Kurdistan by a missile strike and as many as 15 people from the top ranks of the leadership of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (DPIK) have been killed and 50 more badly injured.

Over the weekend, the regime also executed three Iranian Kurdish prisoners, Ramin Hossein Panahi and Zaniyar and Loqman Moradi, who had been jailed for many years.

We discuss these developments with our guests Shahou Hosseini of the DPIK and the Paris-based political commentator Iraj Mesdaghi to find out what is the objective of the Iranian regime from this onslaught on our Iranian Kurds.
