In tonight’s program of Behind the Headlines we will look at the continuation of the workers strike at Haft Tapeh Sugar Factory and Ahwaz Steel Plant;

The possibility of Zarif’s impeachment after he revealed that billions of dollars of money laundering takes place in Iran each year;

The workers at the Ahwaz Steel Plant have been threatened by the regime’s security forces and have arrested several of them while picketing outside the plant.

Mohsen Rezaie has once again attacked the Rouhani government by saying if he and his cabinet had acted according to Khamenei’s orders and instruction in economic matters the country would not have been in the dire situation as it is now.

In the meantime, Issa Kalantari, the environment minister has said that the drying up of Uromiyeh lake threatens the lives of more than 5 million people. He speaks in a language as though he has had no responsibility in avoiding this situation to arrive.
