Tonight we will review the latest news of the rising tension betweenIran and US as Iran has claimed that it has arrested 17 CIA spies. We will also ask why under the current regime in Iran so many spies have been able to infiltrate the system.
Also, we will look at the consequences of the open letter by the 14 civil rights activists as more Iranians in exile offer their support for their demands.
Our guests tonight to discuss these issues are Mr Iraj Mesdaghi and Mr Abulsattar Doshoki.
Abulsattar Doshoki:
The truth is that the Iranian regime in not a classic system of governance but another version of the Taliban or the Daesh because its objective is to take our country back to 1400 years ago. As such it can never be called a republic, as it does not follow the rational structure and modern parameters and rules of a republic.
Its main ideological aim is also to expand its rule across the Muslim world as its constitution stipulates.
However, the oxygen for the life of this regime is to continuously create havoc and crisis. It is by its very nature a despotic and repressive regime and as Trump has put it, despite claiming to be a religious government, it always resorts to lying and deception.
In addition, it is a corrupt regime that behind the scene is run by a bunch ofthieves and incompetent people. And as Mike Pompeo has said, it is not even a theocracy, it is a Kleptocracy.
Iraj Mesdaghi:
You can see very clearly how the regime’s ambitious atomic program, which has continued to this day, has squandered hundreds of millions of our nation’s wealth but other countries like Russia are benefitting from this matter.
When we even import all our essentials for our people from China what needs is there to be armed with a nuclear bomb or increase the range of our ballistic missiles?
It appears that these days the Iranian regime has been cornered by the international pressure to abandon its nefarious acts but is reacting with anger and irrationality. That is why they have now logged horns with the British.
My guess is that once we get to know more about the outcome of the next US presidential election the regime will start to use its proxies in the region to cause tension and instability.
It is aiming to prevent the reelection of Trump by any means even if the region enters another war. And in the meantime only our people will suffer from its nefarious policies.
