We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
We have received a letter from the brother one of the terrorists killed in the Ahwaz attack of last Saturday but refrain fromnaming him until next week for security reasons.
The letter sheds light on who was really behind the deadly terrorist attack.
We continue the program with talking to our special guest of every Thursday, Dr. Mohsen Sazegara, by asking him about his analysis of what really happened in Ahwaz.
Dr. Mohsen Sazegara:
I believe in the coming days and with the revelations made by the Mansouri family the truth about this attack will become public.
Mansouri was one the terrorists who had been under surveillance of the Revolutionary Guard and I can firmly say that he had been led by the Guard to organize this attack in which himself and his friends were killed as a result of sinister plot.
It is notwithstanding that none of the Guards commanders were hurt in the attack and even the cleric Jazayeri only passed out and covered himself under a table.
In any case, terrorism is condemned and we do condemn it too. It is equally hard to say with absolute certainty that the regime had planned it. But the contradictory accounts given by the different regime apparatus make it sound very suspicious.
Now that the Iranian people’s civil struggle for democracy has reached a crucial stage, incidents like this can turn it into a violent confrontation with the people and divert the movement into dangerous path.
There are many members of the Guard who are dissatisfied with the regime and if they feel they are threatened they will change their view of the regime and would not side with the people.
The best reaction to regime’s violence was demonstrated by our Kurds who chose to go on general strike in the Kurdish cities and towns after three young Kurds were executed and the headquarter of Iran’s Kurdish Democratic Party was bombed in which scores were killed.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
Rouhani was on his way to the UN and this incident gave him the excuse to plead victim of terrorism and use the opportunity tocriticize the Saudis.
But President Trump used most of his speech to target the Iranian regime and warned that it will not allow it to continue with its destructive regional policies and obtain a nuclear bomb.
Mike Pompeo has also once again stated his support for the Iranian people’s struggle but the Mujaheddin have claimed Pompeo was referring to them!
Dr. Mohsen Sazegara:
US government has now published a report in 48 pages about the regime’s support for international terrorism and money laundering and pirate operations in international waters.
