We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
We continue the program with revisiting two historic events in Iran’s contemporary and old history.
The first one is during the Second World War when a large number of Polish nationals came to Iran as immigrants when Iran’s chargé d’affaires in Paris issued them with Iranian passports to save their lives from the Nazis’ concentration camps and execution.
The second event was when Cyrus the Great had done a similar service to the Jews some 2500 years ago, when he set them free after conquering the Babylon.
The Polish immigrants’ children went back to their motherland many years after the end of the war but some of the first generation remained in Iran until theydied. However, there were many skilled workers and engineers among them whohelped build Iran’s South to North Railway that Reza Shah had ordered its construction.
The modernisation and industrialisation of Iran under Reza Shah had been financed by the few pennies of tax on their sugar and tea that the Iranian people had been asked to pay.
But 76 years later a disillusioned and vile character by the name of Ahmadinejad became the president of the Islamic republic regime and the country gained $800 billion of oil revenue and he is now telling the Iranian people that everyone in power in Iran is a thief!!
The miseries and calamities that this regime has brought onto Iran are untold. It has degenerated our nation and humiliated our national pride, while pillaging the country’s wealth and environment.
The stone reliefs in the Persepolis ancient site show how representatives of many nations were queuing up to offer their respect to our kings. But these daysthousands of poor and hungry people in our rich cities are queuing up to have a bowl of free rice on the occasion of Muharram and Ashura!!
In the second part of the program we will discuss the role of the criminal Saeed Mortazavi in closing down more than 130 dailies and publications by the order of Khamenei.
While tens of his innocent victims are still languishing in Iran’s prisons, this vile criminal has been spotted in the city of Taft, taking part in the Ashura procession. So much for the administration of justice in the Islamic republic!
The current sedition that has taken over our country in the name of religion is thousands of times more brutal and cruel than that of the Mongols who burnt our country down centuries ago.
