A Window to the Fatherland/Dr. Nourizadeh/October 3

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

We continue the program with saluting Iran’s truck drivers for the continuation of their industrial action and strike!

The regime’s senior judiciary officials and prosecutors, the likes of corrupt Montazeri and Dowlatabadi threaten them with death and destruction, but these heroic drivers are standing their ground and would not be pressured into surrender.

I believe their grievances are not the extortionate prices of tyres or petrol. They are part of a wider struggle of the Iranianpeople against an occupying army called the Islamic republic regime.

The game of reducing the value of dollar against national currency is played by the regime itself as they deliberately raisethis value through their agents and then suddenly pump $500 millions into the foreign exchange market to make thousands of people who have bought US dollars a day earlier go bankrupt.

Reports say many of these deceived people have had heart attacks as they have lost all their savings overnight.

However, those linked with the regime would have fled the country with their more valued dollars before hand, as they knew the trick by the regime.

We disclosed this issue in our previous programwhere Majid took part in an interview with me and explained how his firm had been assigned to build a dental surgery within Baghiyatollah Hospital with a capital based on every US dollar equal to 4500 tomans.

However, by the time he wanted to import the equipment into Iran the US dollar was equal to 12000 tomans and he faced bankruptcy.

He then was asked by a colonel in the hospital to buy gold coins to keep the value of his capital and leave it with him in the hospital. But the next day the colonel disappears!

This short story provides a bigger picture of the extent of corruption and embezzlement that has gripped Iran’s economy.

In the second part of the program we will talk to our dear guest Dr. Hossein Bor who would share with us his expert views on the latest news and current affairs of Iran and the Middle East region.

Stay with us for this edition of a Window to the Fatherland and share it with your family and friends.
