A Window to the Fatherland/Dr. Nourizadeh/October 29

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

Today is the Cyrus the Great Day in Iran. Mentioning the name of Cyrus the Great in Iran trembles the tyrannical Islamic republic regime as he and his legacies stand in full contrast to the regime’s dark ideology and its anti-Iranian nationalism policies.

But Cyrus the Great is extremely important for us, as we now know that during his rule Iran did not have any single specific religion and Cyrus was opposed to this idea as he respected all religions and the freedom of choice for his subjects.

There would have been followers of the Zoroastrian religion in his Empire as were Mithraism and several Indian religions.

He freed the Jews and allowed them to come to Iran from Egypt and the Babylon and many of them settled in what is now the city of Isfahan in Iran.

This issue of Iranian pilgrims going to Karbalaunder the current harsh economic conditions in Iran is really troublesome.

I would not personally tolerate a situation where some Iranians are selling their kidneys while some of their compatriots spend huge monies to go to Karbala as though when they die they will be buried inthere and all their sins will be washed away!

They can keep their faith and beliefs but should spend their money to help our striking teachers and truck drivers instead.

Now we hear the news that the Taliban has sentenced two Afghan ladies to lashes.
In our youth time we had never heard that Islam has this violent sentence and it all started with the arrival of Khomeini’s “Islam” on the scene and the Taliban copied it not to fall behind him in this barbaric practice.

Khomeini lacked any sense of compassion. He wasfull of hatred and now his successor Ali Khamenei is showing exactly the same inhumanity and disrespect for human life. And it is all due to the corruption that absolute power brings with it.

Some people have suggested that in my BBC interview I tried to justify the murder of Jamal Khashoogi. I do not know how on earth one could do such thing when he has been killed at the Saudi Consulate and the whole world has learnt about it.

What do I gain from denying Khashoogi’s murder? How can I deny it happened? I am an Iranian and in my interview told the moderator that I have good relationship with all Arab countries except Qatar.

In the second part of the program we will look at the spat between Ayatollahs Yazdi and Zanjani over the latter’s meeting with several clerics regarded as Khamenei’s opponents.

Yazdi is the most vile and loathsome mullah among Iran’s religious establishment and acts as the wild dog of Khamenei.

And while Khamenei is dispatching our young people to be killed in Syria, the leaders of Turkey, Russia, France and Germany have drawn up the plan for the future of that country and left Iran out of it!!
