We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
I have been thinking about Khamenei’s claims about how under the Islamic republic regime and 28 years of his dictatorial rule Iran has supposedly progressed and achieved so much in the fields of science and economy during the last 40 years!
I believe we must not ignore his claims so easily as it may be that he is implying that his regime will be here for another 40 years by which time Iran will be among the most advanced countries of the world!
He deceitfully claims that before the Islamic revolution Iran only had 200,000university students but now this figure stands at 4 millions!
May be one of his close advisors should tell Khamenei to stop giving these fakefigures and avoid becoming a figure of fun in the eyes of the public.
It appears that Khamenei has now morphed from a simple mullah who used to givereligious sermons to the commoners into a dictator who thinks everyone should accept his views and figures.
More than 75 percent of the 4 million university students that Khamenei is talking about have had to work as bricklayers and pizza delivery boys after finishing their studies, as under his regime’s devastating economic mess unemployment has increased year after year in Iran.
And yet the Islamic republic regime has been spending millions of dollars on spreading its Shia ideology in countries as far as South Korea!!
Iran’s education system is melting under this regime as only 32 out of every 100 graduates can find a job that suits their qualifications and the rest join the long queue of jobless.
Instead of investing in creating jobs for our young people the regime has built 70,000 Shia mosques while millions of our Sunni brothers and sisters do not have one mosque of their own.
Khamenei talks about having 4 million university students in Iran of today as opposed to only 200,000 during the time of the late Shah, deliberately forgetting thatbefore the Islamic revolution the value of US dollar was equal to 7 tomans, but now is 14000 tomans, thanks to his regime’s catastrophic domestic and foreign policies.
At the end of tonight’s program we will update our viewers on the latest news of the Middle East, with a focus on the Jamal Khashoogi’s story.
