We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
We continue the program with reporting on the news of the resignation of Mrs. Shahin Molavardei from Rouhani’s cabinet, as well as the continuation of the protest marchers by the workers at Haft Tapeh SugarFactory and the Ahwaz Steel Plant.
In the meantime those many people who have lost all their savings in the bogus and corrupt loan and credit companies of Shandiz and Caspian are gathering outside government agencies demanding compensation from the state that had in the first place authorized the activities of these companies.
We must also mention the new book from the Nobel Prize winner Shirin Ebadi and recommend it to anyone interested in our people’s struggle for freedom.
Those who wrongly argue that Ms Ebadi has not done much for this struggle must read the book to find out how she has been steadfast in pursuing justice and freedom for our people, especially in defending the rights of the Iranian women, similar to Nargess Hosseini and Mehrangiz Kaar.
In our previous program about the serial murders of Iranian intellectuals we should have also mentioned the name of the writer Saeedi Sirjani who was killed during the administration time of Rafsanjani.
Rouhani has once again talked about Israel and demanded its annihilation, while his own government is in deep crisis and seeks to divert the attention from the regime’s own shaky situation.
Contrary to Rouhani’s claims, Israel is now stronger that ever before and in fact the regime has helped it achieve this.
Israel was going to accept the reality and acknowledge the two state option for peace with the Palestinians but the regime’s propaganda against it gave all the excuses that Israel needed to put aside this idea.
In the second part of the program we will report on the latest earthquake in Kermanshah as well as the farmers’ protests in the city of Isfahan.
