We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
Today is the anniversary of the death of Ruhollah Khomeini and not many people might remember it. However, the fact that our nation still remembers the late Reza Shah nearly eighty year after his death and praises him indicates that he was a good person and Khomeini was not a good person.
The day Khomeini arrived back in Iran he went straight to the Beheshte Zahra cemetery and started his camping of terrors and deception. In his speech there he sounded as though he had arrived in a nonbeliever country and he had been assigned by God to direct them to heaven. His words were full of bad omens and no sign of compassion or happiness for a bright future could be seen in his speech.
When Khomeini led the riots of 1964 against the Shah, the then prime minister Assdulah Alam quelled it successfully and arrested him and a number of other religious figures but Khomeini deceitfully claimed that during the sedition that he had instigated against the Shah’s reform program sixty thousand people had been killed!
And as we can see in this video clip, now, on the anniversary of his death the Iranian people enjoy the bank holiday and travel to beach towns and do not pay any attention to the rubbish talk of this big-mouthed Basiji who is upset why people are not mourning Khomeini’s death. He must be reminded that is simply because the Iranian people reject Khomeini and all those who follow his bloodstained legacy.
We will continue the program with the following news stories:
The Iranian regime pays for the Iftar cost of thousands of the Palestinian people in Gaza while thousands of Iranians are dying of hunger in the country.
Three Afghan immigrants have achieved the highest marks in the entrance exams to study post-graduate courses in Iranian universities, while an Afghan toddler is reported to have been raped by three repulsive people.
In the second part of the program we will discuss why the regime’s judiciary has put forward its own list of “trusted lawyers” to be elected to Iran’s Bar Association, while many lawyers have opposed this undemocratic move.
The Israeli prime minister, currently touring European capitals, has warned that if Iran tries to cross its redlines in the region it will face Israel’s “harshest response”.
The head of the IAEA has once again confirmed that Iran is still fully observing the terms of the nuclear deal, despite US departing the agreement.
And at the end of tonight’s program we will discuss what lies behind the article in the News York Times by Ardeshir Zahedi, the former Iranian ambassador to US during the reign of the Shah.
