We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
The renowned journalist and civil rights activist Mrs. Hengameh Shahidi has been arrested in Kish Island. She has already been imprisoned several times in the past and has had to ask her mother to look after her young child. She suffers from severe kidney and bladder problems due to her long protest hunger strikes in prison and did take part in one of our programs in which she so bravely spoke against the tyrannical regime of the Islamic republic.
The greatest thief of all, the head of judiciary, ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani, who has already transferred ten million dollars to his foreign bank account, has ordered the arrest of Hengameh Shahidi.
One needs to remind this corrupt and vile person that if there were justice in Iran he and his thief brothers in the rotten Larijani family should be behind bar, not the freedom fighters like Hengameh Shahidi.
Mohammad Javad Larijani was given a grant by the Shah’s government to study in US and on his return he has been a chief human right abuser in Iran and like the hanging judge Sadegh Khalkhali he too will die in humiliation once this regime is gone.
Corruption and theft is intertwined with this regime. Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati has recently transferred £32 million to his foreign accounts and Ali Taheri received $750 million to buy an oil platform fro the regime but with the help of his cronies sold the platform to a South American country and fled Iran.
No wonder the slogan that we hear in these days in the grand bazaar of Tehran and other major cities of Iran is “Death to the regime of the supreme leader”.
In the second part of the program we will have a report from our senior correspondent Mohammad Reza Shaheed who is covering the visit of President Emanuel Macron to the Vatican.
At the end of the program we will explain the three scenarios that await the Rouhani government in light of the ongoing economic crisis in Iran.
The first one is for the Majles to impeach Rouhani and ask his deputy Eshagh Jahangiri to form a government which would then pave the way for the arrival of Ghassem Soleimani on the stage.
But the problem with is option is that Soleimani is in the list of terrorists and cannot travel abroad.
The second scenario is to install Ali Shamkhani as the new president and he speaks fluent Arabic and can enter negotiations with the Arab neighbours.
And the third scenario is to oust Rouhani and all state powers will be transferred to Khamenei and his stooge Ali Akbar Velayati will run the government.
So far Khamenei ha snot agreed to any one of these alternatives, as he fears that he will eventually have to surrender to the Americans as Iran’s problems all stem from his obsessive and destructive anti-Americanism.
