A Window to the Fatherland/Dr. Nourizadeh/July 29

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

Tonight we will look at the cheap comments of a female MP in the Majles about why women should not eat ice cream in public.

While the achievements of Iranian women in many fields of politics, culture and literature are the pride of our nation, such vile comments prove that the regime’s reactionary ideology can only produce such individuals who do not even respect their own gender’s value and position in the modern world. To hear this kind of comments in this day and age is truly saddening, to say the least.

And this comes at the time when the movement of White Wednesdays that promotes the right to choose not to wear a mandatory hijab has now turned into a big problem for the regime.

I also wanted to respond to the comments of Parviz Fatah, the new head of theMostazafin Charity Foundation.

Khamenei has now appointed him to this position as part of the plan to see that his son Mujtaba will succeed him.

They say Mr Fatah is not a bad man. Some people might criticize me for supporting the regime by pointing out the positive parts of Khamenei in the years past. I have only tried to tell him what he believed in and what he has become now.

I also opposed Rouhani’s election and emphasized that Ghalibaf was not as dodgy as him and as it has turned out Rouhani has proved that he has not delivered his promises because of this character.

Now, Mr Fatah has come to the fore pretending that he has a clean background. Sardar Rafighdoust was once at the helm of this charity but in his military capacity as a commander of the Guards he gained millions of dollars from the arms purchase that he had signed and never took any step in the direction of helping the needy people.

Mr Ben Alawi of Oman has now travelled to Tehran again as part of mediating between Iran and US. It appears that nowadays he is acting as the regime’s lawyer.

He meets with all the top leaders of the regime during his trips to Iran and as he has very close ties with Britain he must be conveying London’s private messages to the regime too.
