A Window to the Fatherland/Dr. Nourizadeh/January 29

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

I could not come to my office yesterday as I was suffering from flu. Everyone seems to have it these days. Mine was cause by my trip to Poland, which is currently -14 degree. I had arranged to meet with Mr Lech Walesa, the former Polish president and leader of the Solidarity Movement, which overthrew the Polish communist regime. I have had an interview with him, which will be broadcast later on IraneFarda TV channel.

I missed Sattar’s 50th anniversary of his artistic activities in Los Angeles.

The mayor of Mashad has said that the city belongs to Imam Reza and no one else has any rights to it. In fact he means the city belongs to the mullahs Alam Ulhoda and his son-in-law Raeesi.

We must tell the mayor that the city of Mashad belongs to our great poet Ferdowsi and his hero Rostam and millions of Khorasanis who have loved their motherland of Iran and Imam Reza has been welcomed by them. As for Alam Ulhoda and Raeesi, they have imprisoned Imam Reza with their corrupt minds and practices in this city.

I recall my many meetings with the late Dr Bakhtiar forty years these days when he lifted the curfew and censorship of the press as part of his reform programs.

Khamenei’s military advisor Yahya Rahim Safavi has warned that the US is after repeating what it has done in Venezuela in Iran and has suggested that the Iranian regime must get more dependent on Russia as Moscow is supporting the Venezuelan regime.

He thinks Venezuela is a neighbor of Russia that Putin’s soldiers can invade it like what they did in Georgia and Ukraine!
