We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
We continue the program with talking to our special guest of every Thursday, Dr. Mohsen Sazegara, for his views about the latest news of Iran and the region, as well as what he thinks about yesterday’s State of Union speech by president Trump.
Dr. Mohsen Sazegara:
I have already listened to three State of Union speeches during my stay in US. Mrs. Pelosi had already logged horns with Trump before over the issue of the wall with Mexico, which had delayed the delivery of the speech.
However, the speech wad made and it has two major benefits for us to listen to it as it demonstrates the freedom of speech that exists in US and people get to knowwhat their politicians and leaders truly think or do for them as the media would not remain silent about their actions.
Also, one can see the political maturity of the politicians that when it comes tosecuring the interests of their country they put aside their differences.
Trump has so far managed to improve the economic conditions of US and is now focusing on stopping criminals and drug dealers entering America illegally.
Last November’s mid term lections showed that his policies are very popular among the American women, as many female politicians have now entered the law making institutes and Trump is now eying to win the 2020 presidential elections.
In the fields of foreign policy he is to meet with North Korean leader again and the alliance of South American dictators with the Iranian regime and Russia andBolivia is facing major challenges from the public and Trump is hoping that the free world will prevail over them.
