We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
We continue the program with reviewing a new book by Dr. Hossein Bor, who is a friend of mine. However, I wish to criticize him for the pack of untrue statements that he has made about Iran’s ethnic people in his book.
He argues, wrongly, that there is such a thing as the Fars ethnic people in Iran who have exploited our country’s Arabs, Kurds, Turkmens and Azeris, to the extent as though this so-called minority Fars people have “occupied the lands of other Iranian ethnic people”!
Mr. Hossein Bor is not good with mathematics either as he then says we have 60 million people in Iran, out of which 45 million of them are Fars and the rest are from other minorities!
We must remind Mr Hossein Bor that we only have one nation of Iran and they are all Iranians, regardless of their ethnic background. I for one have always defended the rights of all Iranians and have never believed in dividing them into minorities or majority.
And still worse, the book says it has been written to promote the Baluchis nationalism, as if the Baluchi Iranians have had their own separate country in the past and the rest of the Iranians have colonized them!
Sadly, Mr. Hossein Bor’s disappointing book is a direct result of the dictatorial rule of the Islamic republic regime that has waged a war against Iranians’ national unity in pursuit of its vile religious ideology.
We continue the program with watching a video clip of the burial service of Homa Soltani where her heroic father, the human rights lawyer Abdulfattah, delivers a moving speech and calls for unity among the Iranians to achieve peace and prosperity.
It is so tragic to see that Abdulfattah Soltani is serving prison for defending political prisoners and then the head of the judiciary, the corrupt and thief Sadegh Larijani continues with his daily thefts.
We will continue the program with the story of Enis Naghash, the terrorist who had first attempted to kill the late Dr. ShapoorBakhtiar.
Later we will talk about Rouhani’s latest comments about the US sanctions and John Bolton’s response to his claims.
All in all Rouhani’s speech of last night was so cheap and useless. It appears that he does not see or hear the people who are on the streets of Iran shouting “Death to Dictator” and “Death to Khamenei”.
No wonder John Bolton so easily outmaneuvered Rouhani by reminding him that the Iranian people have rejected the regime that he represents as its president.
At the end of the program we will discuss the statement by several reformist activists and former officials who are trying to back up former president Mohammad Khatami’s 15 points suggestion as the way to take the country out of its current deep social, economic and political impasse.
