A Window to the Fatherland/Dr. Nourizadeh/August 28

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

We continue the program with watching two short documentaries about Tehran in the late 1960s.

I remember that I went to the UK back in 1972 for my further studies and when I returned after only one year I came across somany changes in the life and image of the capital city.

The progress of urban life was amazingly so fast and along with it the features of the capital city had changed beyond recognition.

There was this junction called the “cross road of religions” which was the symbol of how the Iranian people with various Christian, Jewish, Zoroastrian and Baha’i faiths were living alongside each other in peace and harmony.

However, with the arrival of the Islamic republic regime that historic fabric of our nation was broken up to make way for Khomeini’s despotic Shiaism, which has now split the unity of our people on religious basis.

And when one looks at the roots of the background of the current rulers of Iran one discovers the devilish medieval ideology that they pursue in this day and age.

It is almost impossible to find any sense of morality or respect for human rights when a country comes under the rule of religion, still worse, a fundamentalist version of it, which looks upon its citizens as a flock of sheep that needs to be shepherd to “heaven”.

The mullahs are a self-deceiving lot. One clearexample of it is Seyed Hassan Khomeini, the grand son of ayatollah Khomeini and the son of Ahmad. He is costing the Iranians 50 million tomans per day and then hypocritically says that he is just another citizen equal to other Iranians!

He very well knows that his father Ahmad has been murdered in the factional purges within the regime. I personally published this exclusive story myself in the Al Watan daily.

At the end of tonight’s program I want to have a word for Mr Khamenei. He is in a position whose paranoia and erratic decisions can lead to the destruction of Iran as a country.

He is an arrogant and stubborn despot who acts upon his hatred towards those who oppose his tyrannical rule.

He needs to be reminded that John Bolton and Benjamin Netanyahu have drawn up a plan for the destruction of his regime and his ill-advised dependency on the Russians will not save him and his regime.

The worry however is that he will take the Iranian people and our country along with his doomed destiny and he must avoid that by apologizing to the Iranian people and leaving the scene immediately before too late.
