A Window to the Fatherland/Dr. Nourizadeh/April 16

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works

Dr Alireza Nourizadeh:

I was watching how the French people were weeping at the sighting of the Notre Dame on fire as part of their culture were being turned into ashes in front of their eyes.

I then compared this sense of one’s love for one’s history to what the mullahs of Iran have done to our own cultural heritage.

The first thing they did after coming to power was to destroy the tomb of Reza Shah who built the new Iran.

Then Khalkhali went to the 2500 years old Persepolis site with bulldozers to ruin it into rubbles, but was stopped after facing protests by the Iranian people.

Saddam Hussein had carried out many criminal acts against our people during the Iran-Iraq war and hundreds of thousands our young people perished in that carnage.

And yet the leaders of the regime have now bussed in hundreds of their Iraqi proxies into the flood hit provinces of our country under the guise of helping the flood victims.

These Iraqis are the same who invaded our country and have now become the new Daesh in Iraq itself after the defeat of the ISIS.

The only description of inviting the Iraqi and Lebanese militias to come to Iran by the regime is treason as they have only been called upon to protect the regime from the wrath of Iranian people.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said that the regime is now funding the Maduro regime in Venezuela.

And no doubt the money spent by the Iranian regime on the Venezuelan dictator comes from the pockets of the impoverished Iranian people.

At the end of the program we will look at the comments of the former Revolutionary Guard commander Saeed Ghassemi who has said the force had trained Al Qaeda fighters in Bosnia under cover of humanitarian aid.
