A Window to the Fatherland/Dr. Nourizadeh/April 15

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works

Dr Alireza Nourizadeh:

I wish to offer my sincere condolences to our friend and colleague Dr Masha Ajoudani for the passing of his brother Houshang.

In our exiled lives we even suffer more when our loved ones die inside Iran. We are in mourning while the rulers of our country continue with their crimes.

The Friday prayers imam of Tehran has claimed that if the name of the city of Poledokhtar (the girl’s bridge) did not have a female connotation and instead had a religious name it would have never been hit by the current disastrous flood!

This type of superstitious language and thinking is the mentality of all those “religious” and “civil” and “military” people who rule our country today.

If they truly believed in Islam they would know that even our prophet would have rejected such backward mentality.

However, the regime does not careless as for all its officials and apologists religion is just a business and a way of clinging to power.

The Najaf based Ayatollah Sistani has clearly said that if a cleric wants to enter politics he must take off his robes and gowns and act as a civil person open to criticism. But his words in Iran fall on deaf ears as the mullahs of Iran abuse religion for their personal gains.

Now the regime has “invited” members of its Iraqi proxy militias, the Hashad Alshabi, to come to Iran and “help” our flood victims!!

As if we did not have enough thieves and torturers in Iran to suppress our people and needed more of the same kind to be imported from Iraq!

One thing is for sure; the regime’s Iraqi proxies and militias have not come to Iran to help with our flood victims. They have come to protect the regime against the wrath of our people.

Now Saeed Hajarian who is referred to as the brain behind Iran’s so-called reformist camp has taken a swipe against me for interviewing the Polish leader Lech Walesa.

Hajarian has said that my support for Iran’s working class people and their struggle and comparing it to the Polish uprising against communism has no value in Iran’s current political situation.

He has to say that because he is no longer a former working class man and is now part of the establishment.

His “reformist movement” has completely failed and he does not want to accept this reality.

I put it to him: why does he not support Ismail Bakhshi, the brave trade union leader in Iran who has been jailed and tortured?

What is he short of as a union leader when compared to Lech Walesa?

Haharian must know that Khamenei and his camp are their sworn enemies and as former president Khatami has openly said, no Iranian in their right minds would ever again be deluded to go to the ballot boxes and take part in regime staged elections on the misleading advice of the “reformists”.
