About the Sepanta Awards: Abdolhossein Sepanta [1907-1969], a director and producer [Lor Girl, Shirin & Farhad], is known as the father of sound in Iranian Cinema. In honor of his achievements, Iranian Film Festival, has named its award ‘Sepanta Award’ given in 15 categories.

‘Iranian Film Festival – San Francisco’ is an annual event showcasing independent feature and short films made by or about Iranians from around the world.
