A Window to the Fatherland/Dr. Nourizadeh/March 27

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr Alireza Nourizadeh:

We continue the program with reporting on the names and background of some of the dual nationals who are in the leadership of the regime.

Later we will speak to Dr Mohammad Hossein Sedigh Yazdi about the current socio-political situation in Iran, by asking him why we do not see the rise of a rational and educated cleric in Iran to reject the mass of rubbish religious superstitions that the ruling regime’s propaganda machine is producing every single day?

This is more so when the self declared “philosopher” and ideologue of the regime, Abdulkarim Soroush, has declared that Khomeini has been the most educated leader in Iran’s entire history!!

Dr Mohammad Hossein Sedigh Yazdi:

Our great poet Saadee says even if you water a bad tree with juices of heaven its fruits would still be poisonous.

This is the story of Soroush and his life. He has lived and studied in the civilised Western countries for decades but still goes back to his reactionary and backward religious beliefs to defend and justify his role in establishing the present tyrannical regime in our country.

The true religious people turned intellectual was Ahmad Kasravi who was murdered by reactionary zealous people whose ideology ayatollah Khomeini had followed.

Khomeini’s interpretation of Islamic government is in contrast with other senior Shia religious leaders in that it advocates a totalitarian clerical regime and Soroush in fact does agree with and follows this doctrine.

However, he calls himself a “reformist religious thinker” whereas he is just prettifying the same tyrannical beliefs and wants us to think he represents a different version of the religion.

In a way his comments are beneficial to our people as they can see for themselves how the so-called reformists in Iran offer no solution to our country’s numerous problems.
