We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
Today is the anniversary of the birthday of thelate Mohammad Reza Shah.
One can imagine how his father Reza Shah was sohappy to see him being born to become his heir to the throne.
Iranians used to celebrate the Shah’s birthday in Amjadiya stadium before the revolution.
The young Shah had been sent to Switzerland forstudy and grooming him to become the King of Persia.
Many people suffered under his rule but if we speak to the Iranians today they would all agree that we had closed our eyes to the many good things that he did for the country.
We will watch a short film about him to pay tribute to his good services.
However, if we start to talk about the Islamic republic regime, what is good about it?
Do we want to talk about Khomeini and how his regime has destroyed Iran?
His regime and legacy are the darkest chapters of Iran’s history and must come to an end, and they will!
The Islamic republic regime must notice that the world and us are constantly watching its criminal activities and one day itwill be brought to justice.
Many bad things happened in the old regime and SAVAK committed many wrong acts. But at the same time we had many universities and freely published our books and there was a unique radio and television station, which was the best in the Middle East.
These were the many positive things that we had in Iran but did not appreciate them.
Now the regime has charged five wildlife activists with espionage, which means death penalty under its tyrannical rule.
The Revolutionary Guard have again been involved in this disgraceful matter and have claimed that the environmentalists havebeen photographing sensitive military sites.
Last year 15 other environmentalists were killed in an air crash and no one has yet explained how this “accident” happened.
We all know perfectly well that all these criminal persecution of our wildlifeexperts are ordered by the Revolutionary Guard who in turn get their ordersfrom Khamenei.
In the second part of the program we will look at the murder of Dr. Farshid Hackie and report on John Bolton’s trip to Armenia, as well as the latest news of Iraq.
