A Window to the Fatherland/Dr. Nourizadeh/september 25

We begin to night’s program with Dr Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

Iranians have been asking themselves why on earth we opted for a revolution that has destroyed our country and ruined the lives of millions so unnecessarily?

There is this story that an Iranian villager wins the lottery but he has to go to town to cash his ticket. He decides to leave his peaceful life behind and become an urban gentleman before going to town to collect his promised money and as such burns all his traditional clothes that might give a wrong image of him.

But on the day that he wants to leave his village he cannot find his winning ticket and suddenly realises it was in his clothes that he had set on fire!!

The Iranians set the Shah’s regime and their future on fire when they followed Khomeini’s lies and deceptions.

We did not have Western-style democracy but many of the books that are banned in Iran today, including mine, had been freely published.

Our intellectuals were shedding tears for the Palestinian people’s plight, but our Empress Farah was building homes for their refugees.

In recent days there have been several TV interviews as to why the Islamic revolution happened when we could have avoided it?

My answer is that because our people believed in Khomeini’s lies. He was a man who deceived a nation in the name of their faith.

Now we hear his grandson Hassan has immigrated to the city of Najaf.

Let him get lost and never return to our fatherland again!

What good is he for the nation when he wastes 80 million tomans per year of the Iranian people’s treasures and do nothing for just being the grandson of a man who has destroyed our country.

This regime came to power through murders and lies. They set Rex Cinema on fire and burnt 400 innocent people and blamed it on the late Shah, but now former deputy minister of the regime Safaie Farahani has revealed that the culprits of that most barbaric crime are sitting in the regime’s parliament as deputies!!

With such background of murderous acts and lies, Rouhani has gone to New York to plead victim and beg Europe and the world to save the nuclear deal for the regime.

As if the world easily forgets that he represents a regime whose agents took over the US embassy and held its staff hostage for 444 days; it is behind the war crimes in Syria and Yemen; executes children; imprisons dissidents and supports terrorism across the globe.

This is not an Islamic republic, it is a terrorist gang that has taken our nation and the world to ransom!
